| About the
Rhythm Workers Union
- our top 10 Core values-
|
1) To strive for musical
integrity through the practice of music by skillful means
and through educating ourselves about the origins of our rhythms and
our instruments. |
| 2) To seek peace within
our selves, in order to spread peace throughout our world. |
| 3) To respect our entire
selves, and to always provide a space that fosters our
personal growth, and to balance our service with self-nourishment. |
| 4) To create a space of
utmost acceptance, where each individual feels open
to share and develop his or her gifts. |
| 5) To be cognizant of the
needs of our community, and committed to providing service without
payment to the extent we are capable. |
| 6) To welcome, honor and
respect the diversity in all people with regard to race, ethnicity,
gender, color, creed, disability, sexual orientation and experience. |
7) To encourage all RWU
members to develop musical and organizational
leadership and to become spirit healers within the group and within
the
community. |
8) To support nourishing
and cooperative energy inside a consensus-based
decision-making process. |
| 9) To uphold the principles
of non-violence. |
10) To uphold a respect
for grassroots organizing efforts that further
justice and peace in our community and beyond. |
