of a culture that respects and celebrates life.

Weekly Drum Circle
Tuesdays at 7:30PM on Capitol Hill

Outdoor Drum Circle 2nd & 4th Tuesday, April - September, Weather Permitting

Rhythm Workers Union meets weekly on Capitol Hill for a weekly drum circle, jam and education time. RWU meets Tuesday evenings from 7:30-9PM at the Capitol Hill Presbyterian Church at 4th and Independence Ave. SE, Washington DC 20001. We are also holding outdoor community drum circles on the 2nd & 4th Tuesday, weather permitting, at the grass circle at the Eastern Market Metro Station Plaza, those dates are: 6/9, 6/23, 7/14, 7/28, 8/11, 8/25, 9/8, 9/22. If Tuesdays aren't great for you, you might want to consider the Guerilla Poetry Insurgency jams at Dupont Circle, lessons and jams with Kristen Arent - the Drum Lady, jams and lessons with Katy Gaughan - Music Heals Us, and jams or lessons with Bill Jenkins or Marcus Sims. There are also wonderful Sunday Afternoon jams, spring, summer and fall at the Malcolm X Park on Meridian Hill.

Our Henry has been called to the ancestors. Some memories are here.
